3rd International Workshop on Security Engineering for Cloud Computing (IWSECC 2020)

to be held in conjunction with the 15th International Conference on Availability, Reliability and Security
(ARES 2020 – http://www.ares-conference.eu)

August 25 –  August 28, 2020

The use of cloud computing grows exponentially and security and privacy are requirements are essential to preserve. The application of software engineering to Cloud computing is a primary aspect to obtain a systematic approach to the development, operation and maintenance of software. There is no perfect security and when a cybersecurity incident occurs, digital investigation will require the identification, preservation and analysis of evidential data. Today exists the necessity to examine and propose security solutions for cloud computing in order to improve the quality and security of all services, applications, tools based and architectures based on cloud computing. This 3rd edition of the workshop is dedicated to explore techniques that enable security mechanisms to be engineered and implemented in Cloud-based systems and related technologies as Fog computing, Edge computing and IoT. Secure elements as Trusted Computing, TEE, smartcards, etc. have been potential elements to build highly secured systems but it is hard to find appropriate solutions for real problems in cloud, edge, fog, etc. environments since the design of solutions based on those elements is difficult and requires a deep knowledge. This workshop is dedicated to solutions, tools and mechanisms to build methodologies to engineer this process.

The technical topics of interest for this workshop include, but are not limited to:

Security Engineering methodologies
Security Patterns
Secure Architecture Evolution
Forensics in Clouds
Security analysis, challenges, goals and risks
Security Engineering Theory and Practice
Distributed authentication and authentication
Trusted Computing Solutions
Fog Computing Security & Privacy
Trusted Execution Environment
