4th International Workshop on Security Engineering for Cloud Computing (IWSECC 2021)

to be held in conjunction with the 16th International Conference on Availability, Reliability and Security
(ARES 2021 – http://www.ares-conference.eu)

August 17 –  August 20, 2021

Cloud computing has definitely established itself in our daily lives and along it certain technologies such as edge computing, fog computing and IoT are developing concurrently. Today there is a clear awareness of the importance of security and privacy of sensitive data. In fact, new attacks are appearing on a daily basis, gradually bringing cybersecurity to the level of importance it deserves. The systematic application of software engineering to these new technologies, is essential to produce secure systems.

This 4th edition of the workshop is dedicated to explore the techniques to design and implement security mechanisms in cloud-based systems and related technologies such as Fog computing, Edge computing and IoT. It also focuses on security aspects such as Trusted Computing, SGX, ARM TrustZone, Knox, smartcards, etc. We look for analysis of security in the devices themselves, detection of new vulnerabilities, proposals for improvement and for secure solutions.

The technical topics of interest for this workshop include, but are not limited to:

Security Engineering methodologies
Security Patterns
Secure Architecture Evolution
Forensics in Clouds
Security analysis, challenges, goals and risks
Security Engineering Theory and Practice
Distributed authentication and authorization
Trusted Computing Solutions
Fog Computing Security & Privacy
Trusted Execution Environments
Secure architectures for IoT
Microservices security
